Garvey Young still sidelined with injured foot

HANOVER, N.H. — Greetings from Dartmouth College’s Leede Arena, where the University of Vermont men’s basketball team is about to face the Big Green.

UVM sophomore guard Garvey Young will miss his fourth consecutive game with a foot injury. He’s expected to return to the Cats’ lineup this weekend.

UVM coach Mike Lonergan will once again play a big lineup early, starting freshman center Ben Crenca for the second straight game. Crenca scored eight points and looked comfortable on offense during the Catamounts’ rout of Toledo on Sunday.

UVM’s starting lineup against Dartmouth (1-4): Crenca, Marqus Blakely, Evan Fjeld, Maurice Joseph and Nick Vier.

There’s a nice-sized contingent of UVM fans here this evening. Many are probably getting their first look at a Catamount squad (3-4) that has yet to play a regular-season game at Patrick Gym. That will happen on Dec. 13 when the Cats play host to Quinnipiac.
